Consumer goods company Unilever has announced plans to separate its ice cream unit, which includes popular brands Ben & Jerry’s and Magnum. The restructuring process will impact 7,500 jobs and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Unilever aims to become a more focused company with four distinct business divisions: beauty and wellbeing, personal care, home care, and nutrition. The announcement resulted in a more than 5% increase in Unilever’s shares. The restructuring is expected to deliver around 800 million euros in cost savings.
