Video: Icy Conditions Cause Massive 16 Car Pileup Near Popular Resort Lake Tahoe residents and visitors experienced the first snowfall of the season this past weekend.

Inclement weather and icy conditions caused a significant multi-car crash in the Lake Tahoe area over the weekend.

Videos captured cars sliding down an icy road and colliding with each other. A total of 16 cars were involved in the pileup, resulting in significant damage to many vehicles.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

The tramway road at Bonnie was temporarily closed and later reopened after the wreckage was cleared. Snowplows were brought in to improve the road conditions.

The Tahoe area experienced its first major snowstorm of the season, with certain parts receiving up to 13 inches of snow.
